Our campsite in South Finistère is an ideal vacation destination if you love outdoor activities!
Our Breton campsite is just 50 m from Kersidan beach (Trégunc), ideal for swimming, water sports and aquatic activities.
To make the most of these assets, Marlène, a state-qualified sports leader, offers outdoor activities every week during the season: water walks, kayak outings, or nature walks on the foreshore (depending on the weather)… If you fancy it, follow the guide…
To ensure that as many people as possible benefit from these activities, they are open to outside visitors.
Try your hand at water-walking at the campsite near Névez
Barring storm warnings, from June to September, Thursday mornings are traditionally reserved for aqua-walking. Marlène will confirm the time and guide you in this new and virtuous sport. Not equipped? Our campsite offers adult wetsuits at €2 for ½ day.
The thousand virtues of aquatic walking
A thousand may be an exaggeration. But the benefits of this outdoor sport are many:
- Keep it simple: a wetsuit (which Camping Le Suroit can provide), shoes, and get in the water!
- The easy way: thanks to Archimedes! Do you know the principle of buoyancy? “Any body immersed in a fluid at rest, entirely wetted by it or passing through its free surface, is subject to a vertical force, directed from bottom to top and opposed to the weight of the volume of fluid displaced”. In other words, in water, especially salty water, your body is as if weightless: you are don’t carry your weight; your joints are relieved and you’re free to move.
- Accessibility: thanks to Archimedes’ thrust, there’s no age limit for water walking, and you don’t have to be able to swim to enjoy it, as long as you’re supervised by a qualified instructor.

Discover the Breton coastline
with a kayak tour
Kayak touring is an original and original way to discover the coastline. A little elbow grease, some sun cream and off you go!
Marlène will be there to guide you and advise you if you’re “new” to the discipline, because kayaking has its demands! Like knowing how to swim.
Outings take place on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00 from mid-July to mid-August. Depending on weather conditions, departures are from either Kersidan beach or Port Manec’h in Névez.

Nature walk on the foreshore, an exceptional ecosystem
What is foreshore? It’s the part of the beach located between the extreme limits of the highest and lowest tides. This space, which can be completely covered by the sea at high tide, or uncovered at low tide, is home to a specific ecosystem of incredible richness.
Marlène, who knows the area well, is also a natural heritage coordinator. During the season, she regularly offers “guided tours” of the foreshore. These rejuvenating walks are organized according to the tides.
